Gather your tea-loving friends, and pour them a cup in style. This handsome, barrel-shaped ceramic teapot is decorated with four distinct shades of rust, sage, brown, and indigo, beautifully overlapping each other and creating an abstract, wavy design all around. Notice the splatters and speckles of contrasting color that look like imperfections but are intentional and provide character.
On the inside is a set of small strainer holes pierced through the inside wall of the pot, ensuring you can use loose tea leaves and not just tea bags. The teapot holds about six cups of liquid, easily serving four to six people.
A potter makes the teapot in a Northern Bohemian village. She uses local clay and fires each piece in her home kiln. Because she handles each pot individually, there is a unique variation in color from piece to piece, and no two will look alike. The bottom of the cup is left raw and unfinished.
The same artist also created this cup, funnel, tea infuser, teacup, and colander.
